concussion & vertigo

Concussion and vertigo are both injuries relating to the brain. Concussions are caused by head trauma, whose symptoms include headache, nausea, or fatigue. Symptoms of vertigo are similar, like nausea and lightheadedness. Vertigo also includes the sensation of temporary or ongoing dizziness. Physiotherapy can be used to treat and effectively manage these conditions.

Our team has training in the management of dizziness and vertigo, with experience in treating conditions like Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), unilateral/bilateral vestibular hypofunctions, vestibular migraines, and other vestibular conditions.

With state-of-the-art equipment, our approach includes techniques like re-positioning maneuvers, balance & gait re-training, and vestibular rehabilitation exercises. These treatment strategies are proven to be effective in managing dizziness and other related symptoms.
